My goodness, today has been exciting. We had a power outage for no known reason - and it lasted about an hour, I think, so it wasn’t just one of those flashes. It fried the wireless router, so we had no Internet. I’m sure you can imagine my distress. XD So I made the base for a kunai to entertain myself. I want to papier-mache it, but Mum doesn’t like that idea. She thinks it’ll rot if I use flour. *pout* So I have a kunai made of paper, duct tape, and the funny rings from Coke bottles after you take the top off. It’s absolutely perfect-sized, and I’m very proud of it. ^_^

Shan: Most of the books I highlighted were read at a very young age. I was an absolutely voracious reader, and in elementary school I was reading things like Telanu and the Silmarillion, although I had to train myself to read the latter. ^^; It was very odd. I could read a sentence, but it made no sense whatsoever. I’d have to go back and say to myself, “Alright, this word means this. This word means this.” and so forth. I made myself read a sentence a day that way until I could understand it. I was very frustrated, you see. XD I had never encountered something I couldn’t read before, and I was determined to conquer it.

Stephy: I’m glad to finally add to your reading list! I was very distressed when I couldn’t think of a suggestion. I just haven’t read that many books in the past few years. ^^; Just fanfiction.

Now I have to find my place in the story I was reading when the power went out. Hmm… There it is. Or close enough. *happy*

It’s raining and the skunks are prowling again. Both these things make me peevish. Quick, someone, send in Goku so I can kick a table over. XD I’m surprisingly cheerful for a rainy-day Sanzo, eh?

Oh, and I must apologize, Stephy. The picture I was drawing for your oekaki went when the power went out. ^^; I’ll try again later, alright?

I’ve started using that stupid heart-thing. You know, the <3 thing. I hate it. ^^; But at the same time, it's so cute. Just shoot me if I start saying "lol". XD The worst I'll do is shorten "because" to "cuz", and that's only because I often forget how to spell the darn word. I do the same thing with "particularly". I'm never sure if I spelled it right, so I avoid typing it at all. ^^; And the extent of my emoticons are ^^; ^_^ ^.^ O_O and XD.

Sorry, that was a bit of a tangent. Entertaining, but... something. I can't remember English right now. XD I've had a rather productive day today. I played DDR until I couldn't walk, and then I read Hikage's story, Tomena and found spelling errors (and assured her that if her editors don't like the adorable gay boys, they can chew their own tongues), then I helped clean her room. Then I offered to do her laundry, because she never has time to with work and all, and so I did some of her laundry and then I did a load of dishes. And boy, am I pooped. XD I even woke up really early today, so I started out tired, and now I'm pleasantly exhausted. I need to take a shower, though. I got all icky from playing Max Unlimited a bajillion times. (Yes, I had to slow it down to 2, but remember that I struggle with 5-footers. I'm not very good.) I just hate the jumping. I weigh a significant amount, so I've got a lot to move around, and I'm desperately out of shape. I've also been practising Tsugaru on Standard, and I love the galloping. XD I just have trouble with the beginning. For some reason, I can't catch the beat.

But anyway. It was nice to be moving around and doing things. I found myself enjoying the cleaning, which shows that I really have snapped. XD Anyone want me to clean their rooms?

Speaking of getting out of the house, this is the perfect time to respond to Steph-san's comment. XD I would stoop to fast food, but it's ever harder to get to than the supermarket. I have no desire to cross a busy highway, especially not on a regular basis. There's only so many places I can work at, too. I can't do the doughnut place because the smell of doughnuts makes me physically ill, but I should look into the pharmacy. *sigh* This is much more complicated than I ever expected. I wish I had a car. Then I could actually work at the place I *want* to work at. Ah well. If wishes were fishes, I'd be eating salmon for dinner. XD

And goodness, a comment from Nicole! I'll go link your blog now. ^_^ I'm glad that you're having fun at college, and I'm extremely proud of you for re-starting the anime club. And a free trip to AB! *is insanely jealous* Well, we need to plan a place to meet up, then. And that reminds me, I still need to go buy another kimono pattern... Ah, yet more stuff to sink hundreds of dollars into. XD

Speaking of cons, I think I've decided not to go to Otakon next year. It's a wonderful convention, but I need a break from it. Just AB, and then we'll see about next year. And I don't have to worry about the Raziel costume this way, either.And it's less stress, which is always good. So now I just worry about AB (and the dozen other things I currently worry about) and the costume I'm doing for that. I should talk to Kira about getting her boytoy's grandpa (or was it his dad?) to make Sanzo's breastplate thing. That would be so cool, to have it out of metal. XD I got the idea from a silly little copper address book I found while cleaning. I was like, "Hmm... If it were cut into strips... But I can't work with metal. Wait! I know of someone who can!" and so forth.

So I'm gonna go add people to my links list now, because I like for it to be... what's the word... all-inclusive. Definitive? Grr. I hate it when I can't think of a word.

Sorry for the angst yesterday. I think being alone is getting to me. ^^; Steph-san, I humbly apologise for ever thinking being home-schooled would be fun. I don’t know how you do it.

Anyway. I talked with Geo today, and it was very amusing. ^_^ We fought with AIM and AOL so I could show him amusing pictures of Sasuke’s lack of hatefulness, which is the most excitement I’ve had in a while. I was rather perturbed to find that I was enjoying getting peeved at AOL. It’s a sad day indeed when I enjoy AOL being pissy. ^^;

So there was that, and then I discovered that the red shirt I was gonna throw away is just perfect for something I had in mind, and I sacrificed Muraki’s felt for another thing, and I am very pleased with the result. ^_^ I shall say no more on that.

So I spent most of today looking at all the member galleries on Cosplay.com. There’s a lot of them. Like, 202×20 many. I’m on page 141 right now. XD I found lots of cool cosplay! Although nothing beats Kyle’s photography. Nothing. I want to take pictures that are that pretty. And dude, there was this really cool Gimli! It was awesome. (See, Dad? Cosplay doesn’t have to be anime. I saw Ghostbusters once, too.)

Ooh! The other day I was on Ebay, and they have like a bajillion things that I’ve always wanted but that never showed up before. Like the Final Fantasy Creatures figures! I want Reverse Sephiroth, Adel, and Trance Kuja. And then there’s the Final Fantasy Trading Arts, of which I want Sephiroth, Zax, and Cloud. And! An Itachi cell phone strap! Ya’ll know how much I want a cell phone strap. XD …And I just gave away half my Christmas list. ^^; Ah, the Creatures are going for $6 a pop. I feel no guilt.

What else is good today… It’s raining, so that’s automatic angst, but then I’ve been putting wallscrolls and posters back up, so that cancels out the rain-angst. (Yes, Geo, I put up the FMA poster, and yes, Shan-san, I treasure the FFVIIAC wallscroll. Thank you both!) I know what’s good! Kitties! I like kitties do you like kitties I think kitties are wonderful! XD Ah, Laguna makes me happy. I’m gonna go read Laguna fics.

Alright, now for the angst. I know I said no angst, but I need to get it off my chest. But! To spare the unwitting victims of my blog, I shall put it behind a cut. And don’t feel you need to read it, because I would actually prefer you don’t. But I need to say it anyway. Does that make sense?

But I said my blog would now be angst-free. Because there is too much angst in the world. And I need something to distract myself. And I really want to angst.

Thank god for Google. ^^; Google cached my blog before I was stupid and deleted all my links, so I can have those back again. I’m just surprised it took me this long to think of it. ^^; Oops.

So! I won the headband, much thanks to Dad, who consented to the use of his Ebay and Paypal stuff. So basically, he won it, and I get it. XD And it was only eight bucks! And it should be here in a week! *shivers with excitement* Man, I love stuff. I’m so materialistic. XD

Speaking of which, ramen is good. I have lots of ramen. And I’m too lazy to eat anything else, so ramen is very good. XD And I’m sleeping way too late these days, which means I gotta stop getting out of bed to play with the Internet. (I know, I know, but I just stop being tired! I can’t help it! XD) I’ve been attempting to download Naruto and Saiyuki Reload, but I can’t play .avi files. I swear, this is driving me nuts. Why do I not have these codecs? I downloaded codecs already. What frigging codecs do I still need?! ARGH!!

Is anyone else having a problem with the text on this particular layout? It keeps disappearing on me until I fiddle with it just right, and even then half the characters are gone. If others are having this problem, I’ll have to beat it up until it cooperates. XD

I shall now indulge in angst, but fear not! I shall immediately follow it with gushes of good news.

The angst is that last night my computer screen developed a bright purple line right down the center. Sometimes it flickers green. I am very upset about this, as it’s a fairly new screen but I sent the receipt in for rebate and I don’t think I could return it anyway. I’ll have to see if I have a warranty, although the lack of receipt will mess that up. Sigh. I might have to go back to Godzilla, aka the computer monitor that’s as old as I am.

Now for the good news! Kira has introduced me to Itachi, and I have fallen in love. XD So what if he only shows up twice and has no personality whatsoever? He has cool eyes. XD XD And better yet, she gave me a huge list of Japanese fanart sites, and I would like you all to see this picture. Yes, it’s much prettier than he is in Naruto. That’s okay. XD I have that picture as my desktop, now. So pretty. XD
Aside from that, someone IMed me last night expressing interest in the FFVII Audio Drama. I’m very happy, as this is the first sign of interest in quite a long time. *coughGeoneedstogivemethenewauditionscough* I am once more filled with hope that the Project might actually get off the ground. XD Now, if only I could finish that darn script… That would help, huh? ^^;
I was looking at Ebay the other day, and there’s so much cool stuff! It’s enough to make a girl drool, ja? I want Itachi’s headband. XD Oh! Oh! And there was the cutest cell phone strap! It was Itachi all chibi and disgruntled and I *heart* it. XD
So I’ve been thinking about stuff because this is the time of year I usually make my Christmas wish list. I think it’s pretty much done, which is mildly upsetting for me because it’s all obscure/fairly expensive stuff that my relatives probably won’t be interested in getting me. I wish I wanted some CDs or something. I always try to ask for something that can be easily found in ordinary USA stores, but this year it’s manga, expensive game stuff, and stuff that might be on Ebay at some point in the next decade. ^^; I should put the Itachi headband on the list, huh? There’s like a dozen of them up on Ebay right now.

Speaking of Itachi, I can’t seem to get any color pictures of him, and video hates Toboe, so I really can’t tell what color his nairls are. XD Hee hee! He wears nail polish! XD So yeah, I was wondering if it’s purple, black, red, or none of the above. (He even paints his toenails! *giggle*) I also can’t tell what he’s wearing under that massive cloak, which is driving me nuts. My mind works in “cosplay” mode all the time, so if I can’t figure out how to cosplay as someone, I automatically dislike them, and I like Itachi too much to dislike him. If that makes sense. ^^; I know he’s got the fishnet, and a v-neck over that, but I can’t tell anything about the sleeves or his pants. I can’t even tell what color all of it is.

Speaking of cosplay (Boy, I’m just babbling today, huh?), Kira, I know you’re gonna do curse-Sasuke, but were you thinking of the full-body curse marks or the half-body? (I finally got my little paws on some of the later manga, so now I can pretend to know something about the curse-stuff. Yay!) I’d suggest half-body, because it’ll be a pain to draw all that on even with just the half-body. I’ve heard markers work wonderfully. XD But really, if you’ll need help drawing them on, just gimme a yell. I love helping other people with their cosplay. ^_^ Speaking of which, the metal shuriken and kunai are strictly forbidden at cons, but there’s resin ones all over Ebay. Mm, cosplay. Now I just need money so I can work on my own outfit. XD

Postscript: If anyone decided to get me a headband for Christmas, don’t. I’m gonna go impulse-buy one. XD
Post-postscript: Sora, Riku says you’re insane. Apparently he greatly disapproves of cold weather. He says his fingers go numb when it rains, nevermind snow. XD Poor thing.

I forgot to post fics, earlier. Oops. ^^;; It’s my FFVII arc, which is really just about me trying to find a balanced interpertation of Sephiroth and Zax. No, it isn’t porny, and I don’t even mean to imply a relationship. I just write what comes to me. ^_^
And after that is my Sanzo piece, which is about the rain, but not in the obvious way. I’m not sure if I like it, but it’s good enough to post. (Yes, Kira, you can have them all.)
Oh, speaking of which, Kira is kind enough to host some of my writing properly, and as soon as I get that link back I’ll link her. ^^;;

XD), and I love Final Fantasy, and I’ll be giving ya’ll some fanfiction soon. Final Fantasy VII, Saiyuki, and… Well, the KH one isn’t net-worthy, but it’s a good start towards net-worthy writings. So there might be KH fic in the future! Yay! XD
