Re: New Members, introduce yourselves here

Wait.. people don't like a cheesy DW game?

Clearly, they aren't real fans. All the games are cheesy. They just progressively more-so as the years go on..~

...I mean welcome!

Re: New Members, introduce yourselves here

Thanks for the welcomes.

Dynasty Warriors has never taken itself seriously.

Indeed. The most blatantly unserious one in the series was DW3. Unintentionally terrible English dubbing+over-the-top battle stages x hordes of insanely aggressive peons that make almost every stage a living hell^archers spawned from Lucifer's domain = an epic game for endless fun.

Apparently. It's like they want Koei to... Cut the Cheese.

Ask most fans which game was the best in the series, and they'll often say DW3.

Ahhh. Those were the days. They brought back the overwhelming hordes of enemies in DW5, but they never de-nerfed the archers. A sad thing.

YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Awesome. And anyone who prefers DW3 to Warriors Orochi, 1 or 2, is just wrong.

DW5 had chaos mode. But I'll always miss the horrible pronunciations and mediocre English dialogue. And some of the greatest DW lines, too.

"So~o, was the enemy camp pretty?"

No way, man. The sheer hilarity of DW3 will always make it my favourite.

Re: New Members, introduce yourselves here

Okay, if we're gonna lay it all out, then I think Warriors Orochi has the best gameplay mechanics, and the most satisfyingly insane storylines and dialogue

Mitsunari Ishida: "Hey Pang Tong WE SHOULD TOTALLY HAVE KIDS TOGETHER"
Pang Tong: "I KNOW RIGHT THEY'LL BE AWESOME"

Plus the ludicrous number of characters, the addition of sick R1 attacks and air dashing, and then the addictive weapons upgrades... All excellent enhancements to the game.

BUT. But but but but but. My best memories of the DW series, as a whole, come from playing DW3: XL with my bro. I suspect it will always be so.

Additionally, I gotta say DW3 had the best character designs for most characters. That's my favorite Zhao Yun right there.

Oooh, another newcomer!

Wait, what, DW forums are dying off? O_O First I've heard of it...

Re: New Members, introduce yourselves here

This board used to have enough people talking about DW that it was its own subsection.

Well, the forum used to be associated with my website.

Now it's mostly for me and geo to figure out who's the bigger post whore, and posting YouTube videos with hilarious cats.
