Original Zelda.

Killed first boss without using the sword.

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

I don't think I qualify as having any gaming cred. >_> It's a huge deal for me to finish a game at all, nevermind making it more challenging.

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Sonic 2, under an hour with a pure desire to walk through god knows whatever to score a 360 achievement at a friend's house

Sonic 1 under 40 minutes with no death, same scenario

Mutant League Football, killing all 30 players (15 offense/defense)

Pecking Order: It's you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's Stool, Kame... and Popo

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Sonic 3, beat last boss with no rings.

Donkey Kong Country, can consistantly finish it in 1 hour 30 minutes at 75% completion.

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

I feel like I'm getting shown up here!

Super Mario Kart: 16-year winning streak.

FFVI: Beating the Floating Island at level 17.

Dracula X - Rondo of Blood: Beat in about 1 hour and 30 minutes with no deaths. Well, there was one Death. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Get it? Because you fight him, since it's Castlevania. Right guys? Pretty funny? Right...?

I TAKE IT BACK. Today I graduated from being the one watching other people play to having someone watch me play. FOR HOURS. \o/

...okay no I still feel like I suck >_>

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Some pretty good accomplishments in here :D A lot of it is practice, not skill.

Super Mario World, unlocked all levels/found all 96 secrets.

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Pokemon Snap: Found all the Pokemon without guides/help.
Donkey Kong County: Beat with 100% completion.
Dynasty Warriors 6: Unlocked every ending. (That was painful, actually)
Super Mario World: Ditto with all levels, all secrets.

Donkey Kong Country III: 100% completion. Hell, just beating the game was enough of a task >_>;

Hell yes it was. I couldn't get far without getting bored beyond care.

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

I've also got a 100% complete save for both Super Mario World and Super Mario 64. My SMW save is on the GBA port, max points, max lives, all yoshi coins too. Missing two medals (and lost the cart anyway) for Star Fox 64. Took me seven years to beat Super Mario though.

For Digital Devil Saga, beat the super sekrit optional boss in the Citadel. No skill there, surviving until you can start doing damage is a matter of luck. I also got every mantra for every character so I got all the bonus stuff for DDS2. :3

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

FFVII, got to disc 3 on a no-materia/base equipment run. Razorwired can attest to some of the feats performed during that run.

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Was that the file where you beat Hojo with the entire party dead except for a Vincent on Limit Break?

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Oh god, something similar happened to me with a Jenova fight. Got a ring that absorbed the element that Jenova used most often, slapped it onto Vincent, was probably 10 levels under, used his limit. The other two people died and I couldn't control him, but he wasn't going down at ALL. So I got to sit there and watch him solo the fight.

Great if you need to go shopping or something I guess?

Re: Oldschool: Gaming cred

Ran a Clive file on Suikoden II.

I can confirm that if you run a Clive file.  It's nothing more than a Clive file and you have to speed read or memorize all the dialogue.
