Topic: Of Needles and Ink (NSF the Squeemish!)

So I have an addiction.  Every time something significant happens in my life I crave, nay require pain.  I cannot exist until I've been properly bloodied and bruised usually at great expense.  This time it set me back around 200 bucks; a steal if you ask me.

Here's the initial line work; incomplete as you can tell.  The artist (Aaron, from the Laughing Buddha Tattoo shop on Broadway in Seattle) was nice enough to cover my nippleage for the picture.

This is all the line work done.  All that's left is the shading!

And complete!

Note:  There is no "color" to this.  Like all of my other pieces its in black, white and shades.  That lovely shade of pink is a mixture of blood and my now bruised chest.  AWESOME!

Nice! I like that one a lot better than the barcode. XD Is the placement significant? (Also dude, that is some nice shading. You should post a picture once it's healed.)

Got questions, concerns, zombies at your door? Send me a message! I don't bite... unless you're marinated.

The placement is actually the exact opposite of where it "should" go; as tradition states the Army is always closer to your heart than your own family; but since on your dress uniform your awards are placed there, I opted to save that space for when I get a reasonably large fruit salad

Post follows is my OTHER ink.

Alright, so I just realized I don't have a picture of my right shoulder, but I'm in uniform right now and too lazy to dig out my camera, so...just picture a pair of black dice, and we'll be good.

This was my first seven tattoos; bonus points to anyone who can figure them all out without the help of google.  Pardon the blood, as this picture too was taken shortly after the inking; a whopping six years ago.  I'm not entirely happy with the results, as the artist was...a mistake.  He rushed through them all way too fast but of course I was too naive to realize it at the time.

After those seven a few years later I got the aformentioned but unphotographed dice.  Almost exactly a year ago I got the barcode that lisette mentioned.  Yes, its actually scanable; or was when I got it; the ink might have bled enough to make it not work anymore.

Now that I'm in Hawai'i I do horribly need to get another one though; to mark yet another change in my life.  Suggestions?
