Jeanine! Welcome back! }

I'll be spending the next week or so fishing up subligar, and getting hikage to her subjob, whenever I can catch her online again.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

Promyvion is a lv30 event, but any job is welcome. Just don't be like that RDM we brought along and pretend to nuke the hell out of the mob. >>

Well he's only awesome because of his association with you, of course. :D

Promys are scary the first time, and then it's a piece of cake (except when you die). I should get DNC up to 30 so I can main it. :D

IT'S WARK.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

I got Byakko's Haidate on Tuesday. I think I love the DEF more than the haste/DEX. XD That's probably because I'm one of those crazy MNK/DNC that tries to tank stuff like missions or prime avatars or AF NMs. Norm and I make a bizarre combination with MNK and BLM.

Also, Naheo should come to sky again. Any of you should come hang out in sky. The requirements are don't be an asshole and be at least 70. Sundays and Tuesdays starting at 5:30 PST.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

Congrats on your kitty pants :>

My LS seemed like they were going to do sky, went in a couple times, hasn't been back. So you'll likely see me around more since I wouldn't be double-booked.

Time to farm more beastman's seals... always taking sponsorships, any non-club drop goes to the seal donor

Like me!  For the cost of 60 seals I wouldn't have used anyways, and the time it took to get to Waughroon Shrine I earned around 80K.  Not great; but not too shabby either.

FISHING SKILL LEVEL ONE BABY BOOYAH

Okay so the other day I was hanging out with Tele, who was fishing up subligar, and she basically tossed a fishing pole at me and said "have at" and I did and it's so fun! I find it really relaxing and can see myself logging on after classes to fish and unwind. So I've just been hanging around fishing, and I got a bunch of skillups today and hit level 1! I'm very excited to fish more. :3 Also I finally rearranged all my inventory, so now I actually have inventory space! It's so nice! Sometime soon I'll weed out the armor I don't really need.

One small detail though... I am never quite sure what to do with the fish I catch, other than the moat carps. >_> Like uh, quus and golden globes and bastore sardines. Do I just sell them? Are there fun quests I can use them in?

You can level cooking with them, one sardine to a wind crystal. Caps at 11.

'Something Fishy' gets you 70g per trade but you have to zone between trades.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

I have Utsusemi finally~! Now to completely ignore Ninja in favor of crafting.

@Lisette: Quus are basically worthless, unless you're a Bubbly Bernie fan. Yellow Globes are used for Poison Dust, though, so you can AH stacks of those for maybe 3k.

I volunteer 60 of my beastman seals to this worthy endeavor. When's the best time for you two? Scheduling will be an issue for the next two weeks, though, my work schedule is kind of... weird and I'm not looking forward to working so many days in a row.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

I <3 you so hard.

I'ma be hanging with shan for the next coupla days, then I have Thurs and Fri off. After that I'll be in California and not logging on.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

Thank you for the fish advice, guys! :D I'm level 2 already. I got a whole bunch of skillups in a row, which was weird but awesome.

I would love to sponsor a fight but I'd be basically dead weight on a lvl 60 mob, I think. And since it's a 3-person pt, uh... yeah. That would be bad.

Hey, I would have been dead weight too if I I weren't a badass BLM had gone in.  Essentially you trade the orb to the BC, tell it what mission to do, wait for the other two people to zone into the circle and then run like the bitch you are <3 hell so the third person can fight.

The oxblood is a guaranteed triple drop. We go in Naheo PLD Aiyna RDM Mihya DRK. Nick pops gravity and I kite it while Hanna chases it around and whacks it with her scythe. Nick cures and nukes until all its tentacles are broken, then I straight-tank and we try to kill it quickly.

Re: Final Fantasy XI

I've never heard of being doing this before - seriously, how exactly do you do it? Do you make a 4-person pt and then drop the orb-holder after it's triggered? I'm interested. } Because I may have 143 seals and a burning desire for more inventory space in my MH. :D

EDIT: also DING Fishing 3 :D

Re: Final Fantasy XI

Congrats on fishinglv3 :D I still can't bring myself to fish on this Naheo, idk if it's the new system or the few levels I lost or what.

Yeah, you get the orb in Jeuno, head to the Palborough Mines, party up, trade it, then we go in and you run out. XD If you need help carrying the drops (I'd say the average item payout is 8) I don't mind lending my inventory space. You can stay in party too - can be fun to listen in.

Shami in Port Jeuno (H-8) now stores seals for you. You can't get them back but you can buy orbs, he keeps track of your seals.
