The 12 Girls Band from China. I believe they're something like the top female musicians from prestigious music schools in China who got together and made a band and played music in the traditional Chinese style, but mixing traditional and modern music, sometimes even covering modern band's songs making for incredibly amusing results. I really enjoy them a lot.

Ahhhh I remember being introduced to this band a few years ago, but I lost track of them and forgot all about 'em. Thank you!

Re: Music Recommendations

Miri Ben-Ari I love it when classics and hip-hop works out well.
David Gilmour Former guitarist/singer for Pink Floyd. Any song he compose/play/sing is just exceptional. I recommend his On an Island album.
Billy Howerdel The Stoned. I'm a fan of tool, but A Perfect Circle was pretty awesome as well. I think Billy's stuff are more enjoyable to the general public.
Paz Lenchantin Her version of the Hollow on the remix cd (a-motive) kicks some major but.
Soundgarden Black Hole Sun was one of my favorite songs, and their video was just plain creepy.

Re: Music Recommendations

I know there's a few FFIV fans here, the remixers at overclocked remix just came up with this little compilation. http://ff4.ocremix.org/

Re: Music Recommendations

Mates of State

Stuck in my head lately, their stuff is really girly and their live shows are basically watching these two try to telepathically have sex in front of an audience, but I like their songs well enough.  Tony posted the Ting Tings in the bad music you listen to thread and later said that these guys were like a better version.

Re: Music Recommendations

I just came across this song today and it really makes me think of Kamina strutting around in a Lupin III outfit for some reason

Re: Music Recommendations

I don't know if there's even a website for the band, they're completely off the radar and I'll be damned if anyone finds anything on them.

Basically after going through the Road Rash 3D OST, I was wondering where I'd find more Full On The Mouth tracks, and the only ones I CAN find are from RR3D being People Mover and Another.

But I recommend them for electro-metal goodness.

Re: Music Recommendations

Tony's completely right.  This album is awesome.  Get it.  I may actually buy the legit version when it hits.

Re: Music Recommendations

I want it just for the album art! I bought Absolution and Black Holes & Revelations when they came out, too.

Re: Music Recommendations

So I got Full On The Mouth's album, Collide in the post today and am listening to it.

Shit, this band is seriously under-rated, every track thus far has been great.

Spinnerette.  Brody Dalle and Tony Bevilacqua from the Distillers team up with Jack Irons and Alain Johannes to make liquid concentrated awesome.  It also helps that I'd totally steal Brody away if I could manage to be cooler than Josh Homme for a second.

I hate dance. But I like this somehow.

Middle bit of this song FTW SRS.
